Reviews

......My family worked with Missy when our daughter was 2 years old. She came to us through the IU and was a blessing to say the least. Our daughter had limited language for her age and being our first child we did not fully understand where she fell in terms of development. Our daughter was always attached to me while family and friends consistently relied on us to close the communication gap. She was nervous around others and frequently relied on momomoms and dadadadas to communicate. From day one, Missy was the key to unlocking the amazing spirit and spunk that was hiding within our little girl. Missy was calm and careful introducing herself and quickly made our girl feel comfortable using play to help her open up. Over the next year we watched as our daughter opened up and a spark was ignited. I can still remember the first time a new word came out, as minor as it was "me". Missy called to our daughter "Who wants the ball?" and our daughter happily yelled, "ME!!!!" while she giggled. All of us in the room shrieked and cheered and our daughter glowed! Missy was truly the key to our daughter finding her voice through her hard work, patience and loving nature. She always provided guidance and support when we needed it most. Our daughter, now in third grade is THRIVING, has a fantastic vocabulary, sings constantly, and is praised by her teachers for her conversational skills. We can never truly thank Missy enough for what she has done for our family.

......Missy was my son's first speech therapist and she was fantastic. She was very patient with him and it quickly became clear that she had plenty of experience as well. When my son started speech therapy at 18 months, he was nonverbal. Now he's a very talkative 7 year old with an excellent vocabulary. Missy definitely set the bar high for future speech therapists and I highly recommend her.

.....Miss Missy was amazing in helping our 3 yo gain speech skills as well as showed us how we can promote speech through play on our own time. My boy absolutely adored her and we needed to be careful not to tell him of her visit too early else he would stand at the door waiting for her arrival.

.......Michelle (Missy) @ Thrive Early Speech & Language Services is absolutely fantastic. She is professional, concise, kind and is 100% invested in helping her clientele with accomplishing written and clear therapeutic goals. One of my children was in speech @ 5th grade through the school system but that was not working for a myriad of factors and 'that' process was not conducive to learning the skills he needed to learn. Missy was encouraging, realistic and absolutely the best in regards to overcoming, in our case, the "R" sound. Her guidance and empathetic support led to my son being discharged from her services today (in fact) as the goals that were clearly stated have been addressed as significant progress has been made (note: my son is now within 95-100% of enunciation for the affected "R" sound) which is awesome! Yes, the kids do the work but, without a doubt, her kind guidance facilitates the success. I am absolutely impressed and will shout from the roof tops about the services from Thrive Early Speech and Language Services. Best of the best. Thank you, Missy - you are an amazing individual.
